The Sri Lanka Army Ordnance Corps (SLAOC) marked its Regimental Day and held a ceremony to felicitate the newly-promoted Colonel Commandant of the SLAOC, Major General Priyantha Weerasinghe on Oct 14, 2021 at its Headquarters.
A Guard Turnout was accorded to the new SLAOC Colonel Commandant on arrival before Major General Priyantha Weerasinghe joined a tree planting ceremony, followed by a group photograph and a customary troop address.
In the evening, a Pinkama was held to invoke blessings on the Army and transfer merits to all fallen War Heroes who paid the supreme sacrifice.
The Center Commandant, Commandants, Commanding Officers, all Officers and Other Ranks joined the event.
