The Security Forces Headquarters – East (SFHQ – East) celebrated Sinhala Tamil New Year on 09 April 2024 at the SFHQ – East premises under the guidance of Major General M.K.U.P Gunarathne RSP ndu psc IG, Commander, SF – East.
The festival consisted with a number traditional games such as cross country run, climbing greasy pole, pillow fighting, tug of war, fancy dress competition, etc. Additionally, a rural house (Gami Gedara) was designed at the premises.
At the same time, the Commander, SF – East distributed New Year gifts to the 34 civil staff, serving in the SFHQ – East. An entertaining musical show culminated the festival.
Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks of SFHQ – East were present at the festival.
