Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) celebrated its 7th anniversary with several programmes on the directions of the Commander, Security Force - Mullaittivu (SF-MLT), Major General P.U.S Vithanage during 2- 5 June.
As the 1st stage of the programme, a Hindu Pooja at the Srivan Kovil at Oddusudan, a Bodhi Pooja Pinkama at Muladeepa Temple at Kokilai Sambodhi Vihara, and a Catholic mass at St. Jude Church at Mullaittivu were also organized respectively to bless all members serving the Army and transfer merits on fallen War Heroes.
Afterwards, on 5 June, troops representing all regiments presented a Guard Turnout and saluted Major General P.U.S Vithanage at the SF Headquarters premises in accordance with military traditions.
In the meantime, the SF Commander planted a tree sapling at the SFHQ-MLT premises to mark the day.
The day’s programme culminated with the troop address where the Commander, Major General P.U.S Vithanage addressed the gathering in Tamil language, too.
On the same day, the General Officer Commanding, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and other senior officers, officers and other ranks attended a Dinner Night, organized at the Division Headquarters.
At the 4th stage of the programme, a musical show was held at the SF Headquarters’ ground where popular singers, officers and other ranks entertained the gathering by singing several songs.
