SFHQ-Jaffna with KFHISL Provides Drinking Water to American Mission College in Jaffna

The Korea Friends of Hope International Sri Lanka (KFHISL), a Non Governmental Organization at the request of the Security Force HQ-Jaffna funded the installation of a water purification plant for students at the American Mission Tamil Mixed College in Varaniyattal, Jaffna at a cost of Rs 1.5 m as there was no pure water available for drinking purposes.

Under the guidance of Major General Chandana Wijayasundara, Commander, Security Forces -Jaffna, 522 Brigade troops took steps to erect the location and install it under the supervision of the 52 Division HQ. It was commissioned on Wednesday (28) during a simple ceremony where Major General Chandana Wijayasundara as the Chief Guest participated in the community-oriented project. The college authorities fully supported the gesture.

Mr Sun Bong Choi, President, KFHISL, Mr Lasitha Nanayakkara, Secretary, KFHISL, General Officer Commanding of the 52 Division, Brigadier General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters-Jaffna, Brigade Commander of the 521 Brigade, Commanding Officer, 15 Gajaba Regiment, Officers, principal, teachers, students and their parents were present at the inaugural ceremony.
