SFHQ-J English Course Completed in Awarding Ceremony

The Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna with a view to improving language skills of Other Ranks serving the peninsula conducted a one-month long English proficiency course at the SFHQ-J.

The certificate awarding ceremony of the Course took place on Thursday (18) in the presence of Major General Chandana Wijesundara, Commander, SF-J as the Chief Guest.

Private A.P.D De Silva was adjudged the best student in the course and second and third places went to Corporal M.A.N.T.B Jayasingha and Gunner P.H.K Panagoda respectively.

Thirty two Other Ranks of different regiments followed the course and received satisfactory standards. A variety show, presented by course attendees added colour to the awarding ceremony.

Brigadier General Staff of SFHQ-J, Brigadier Admin and Quartering of SFHQ-J, Staff Officers of SFHQ-J, Commanding Officers of all battalions and troops were present during the awarding ceremony.
