SFHQ-J Does Its Part for Food Security Drive

By planting different varieties of banana, vegetables and sowing paddy in Army-managed farms in the Jaffna peninsula, troops on the directions of the Commander Security Forces Jaffna, Major General Chandana Wijayasundara began throwing their weight behind the Army Food Security Programme on Friday (01).

This emergency cultivation project was kicked off with the participation of the Commander Security Forces Jaffna by planting bananas in one acre of plot inside the headquarters compound. Cultivation of rice also started around the same time in Army paddy fields.
