One of the popular Dhamma preachers in Sri Lanka and the founder of the Arya Nikethanaya at Godagama, Ven Mawarale Bhaddiya Thero was at the Security Force Headquarters - East (SFHQ-E) on 28 February to deliver a special sermon.
The invitation for the sermon has been extended by Major General Dharshana Hettiarrachchci, Commander, Security Forces - East with a view to further promoting the spiritual values among the troops serving the Eastern Province.
In addition, segments of civilians, school principals, teachers, students, state officials and employees in and around Welikanda area joined to listen to the sermon.
The sermon touched the question of correct conduct and the needs for a righteous society, etc.
Major General Dharshana Hettiarrachchci, Commander, SF- E, Major General Dammika Pananwala, GOC, 23 Division, Major General Manoj Mudannayake, Commander, FMA (E), Officers and over a thousand other ranks were among those who joined there to listen to him.
