Security Force Headquarters -Central (SFHQ -C) with the sponsor's support gave away 34 gift parcels of school accessories to school-going children of civil employees working at the SFHQ-C on Saturday (19 August) at the SFHQ -C camp premises.
The event was organized on the directions of Major General W.W.H.R.V.M.N.D.K.B Niyangoda, Commander Security Forces- C.
Mr. Prasad Loku Balasooriya, the founder of the 'Athahitha Foundation’ which has been raised by old pupils of Colombo Royal College and the University of Sri Jayawardanapura provided the financial sponsorship to the event.
Meanwhile, after the distribution of school accessories at the SFHQ-C, the same philanthropist gifted a stock of dry rations to the Diyatalawa, 'Aththadassi' Pirivena where novice monks are learning. Representatives of the group visited the location. Senior Officers, Officers and Other Ranks were present at the location.
