Major General Mohan Rathnayake, Commander, Security Forces Central (SFHQ-Central) made his formal maiden visits to under command Brigades and Battalions in the 12 Infantry Division HQ area during 12- 13 January.
During his visits, he called at the 121 and 122 Infantry Brigades, 20 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, 18 Gemunu Watch and 23 Gajaba Regiment camps.
Each Brigade and Battalion warmly welcomed the visiting Central Commander by presenting Guard Turnouts at the entrance to the respective camp premises.
Brigade Commanders and Battalion Commanders briefed the visiting Commander on their performing role and tasks in their respective areas. Major General Mohan Rathnayake interacted closely with Officers and Other Ranks in respective camps and shared few thoughts with them.
Major General Mihindu Perera, General Officer Commanding, 12 Division, respective Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers and Officers were associated with those visits.
