SF-West New Commander Evaluates Army Support to Kuragala Temple

Major General Kithsiri Liyanage, Commander, Security Forces-West on Monday (20) made a visit to the Kuragala temple under construction soon after he took over his new appointment.

As directed by General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, Sri Lanka Army troops are engaged in restoration of this religious place and its construction work using their technical skills and manpower.

The visiting Major General Kithsiri Liyanage had a discussion with the Chief Incumbent, Ven Wathukumbure Dharmaratana Thero who is also the Head at Nelligala International Buddhist Centre on the remainder of construction work in the temple. On the same occasion, the monk invoked blessings on the visiting West Commander.
