During a simple ceremony held on Sunday (23), the foundation stone for construction of a new house for a needy family in Veherawewa, Budhdhangala in Padhavi Parakramapura was auspiciously laid by Colonel General Staff of the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni, Colonel Anil Peiris as one more extended social service project of the SFHQ - W, initiated by Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, SF - W.
The family of Mr H.M Priyantha Premasiri with his children was undergoing thousands of difficulties without having a solid source of income when the matter was brought to the notice of Major General Perera. Commander - 623 Brigade under the guidance of the General Officer Commanding of the 62 Division Brigadier Dhammika Jayasinghe selected them as beneficiaries for receipt of a decent home.
The philanthropist, Mrs Priyangani Perera of Australia promised to provide her generous support for the construction of this house with all facilities such as electricity, water, etc. Security Force Headquarters - Wanni has already provided 06 houses for deprived families in Madhawachchiya, Selalihinigama, Ganeshapuram, Pampeimadu, Galenbindunu Wewa and Welioya areas.
Civil Affairs Officers of the Headquarters Security Forces - Wanni, Headquarters of 62 Division and 622 Brigade, Commanding Officer of 11 Sri Lanka Artillery Regiment, the beneficiary Mr H.M Priyantha Premasiri along with his family and villagers too were present at the occasion.Sportswear Design | Nike for Men
