Sewing Machine Gifted to Needy Woman for Self-Employment

An Army initiative, taken by the 65 Division resulted in the donation of a sewing machine to a needy but courageous woman, enabling her to earn a living through self- employment and support her family.

The sewing machine, donated by Watawala Tea Company Pvt Ltd in response to the request, made by Major General Anil Samarasiri, General Officer Commanding of the 65 Division was delivered to the beneficiary, Mrs Vidushan Nilalogini, currently residing in the 6th Mile Post, Ambalpuram, Vavunikulamafter visiting her doorstep on Friday (1) .

Brigadier Sanjeewa Wanasekera, Commander, 652 Brigade coordinated the project after identifying the beneficiary and her need.
