98 children of low income groups and down-trodden civilians, resident in Periyakulam village received financial grants and stocks of clothes as donations from a group of Singaporeans, including Ven. Gunarathana Thero of Singapore.
The donation, coordinated by 56 Division on the directions of Brigadier N.A.P.C Napagoda, General Officer Commanding, 56 Division, took place Thursday (19) in the presence of Ven. Gunarathana Thero and a few donors from Singapore.
Readymade garments, clothes and cash were thus distributed during a meeting at Sri Sambuddharaja Raja Maha Vihara premises, situated in the 561 Brigade Headquarters.
