Security Forces Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-Cen), celebrated its 11th anniversary following a series of events under the direction of Major General S.R.B. Aluwihare RWP RSP ndu psc, the Commander of the SF-Cen with the participation of troops serving in SFHQ-Cen.
On 12 March 2024, troops of SFHQ-Cen cleaned the surroundings of Senior Citizen’s Home located in Amunudowa, Bandarawela and assisted the resident senior citizens. A delicious lunch treat was offered for them on following day (13 March 2024) while entertaining them with a captivating musical miscellany.
A friendly cricket match was organized at the evening with the participation of Officers and Other Ranks serving in the premises and the Commander of the SF-Cen awarded the trophies and gifts for the winners and runners up. The day’s event culminated with a Dharma sermon held at the evening with the participation of troops.
An Almsgiving was also held on 14 March 2024, for 25 Members of Maha Sangha inviting them to the premises. The anniversary celebrations culminated with a dinner night and a musical show at the Golf course.
