The Gemunu Watch-groomed one more proud products of the Army, Major General Ajantha Wijesuriya who has been serving as Brigadier Logistic at Logistic Command, Kosgama on the eve of his retirement from the Army received appreciative compliments from the Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva after inviting the former to the AHQ on Tuesday (31) where the latter commended his dedicated services to the Army for more than three decades.
Sharing a few thoughts with him and recalling past memories, General Shavendra Silva during the brief interaction commended him for his committed dedication throughout and spoke of his contribution to the Logistic command in recent times. The retiring Major General Ajantha Wijesuriya who has served a number of key appointments in the Army and the Gemunu Watch (GW) in particular refreshed his thoughts during stints in various appointments.
The outgoing Senior Officer also thanked the Commander of the Army for his wishes and the thoughtfulness while mentioning about the encouragement he received from the Army Chief in the performance of his demanding duties.
