Major General Keerthi Costa, the outgoing Commander Security Force Headquarters - Central (SFHQ-C) was saluted on Monday (26) in accordance with military traditions during a formal farewell, held at the Security Force Headquarters-Central premises in Diyatalawa .
A Guard Turnout and a Guard of Honour in the parade square at the Security Force Headquarters-Central honoured the outgoing Commander Security Force Headquarter-Central. At first, he posed for a group photo at the HQ premises and was invited to plant a sapling as a gesture of memory. After that the outgoing Commander, Security Force Headquarters-Central, Major General Keerthi Costa in his address to the troops thanked All Ranks for the generous assistance and support, extended to him during his tenure.
An all rank tea culminated the day’s proceedings. He also did not forget to leave his signature in the visitors’ book, prior to his exit.
