Residents in Slave Island, Maradana, Sri Jayawardenapura & Bambalapitiya Enjoy Army Music

Continuing their therapeutic practices once again, Army musicians put up musical shows near storied flats at 320 residencies in Slave Island (Kompannaveediya) on Tuesday (14) with the objective of challenging boredom and providing mental relaxation to the public who are home-confined due to prevailing COVID-19 epidemic threat and curfew hours.

Members of the Army Beat Group on the guidelines given by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID -19 Outbreak, have been staging those musical talents amid cheers of those occupants during the past few days.

Civilians from their balconies were seen waving hands and clapping the artists who were there to entertain them at this critical hour of our society.

Similar shows presented by Army, Navy, Air Force and Police are being staged in keeping with the conceptual guidance given by HE the President and Hon Prime Minister.

Meanwhile, those living in Residencies Ammamul Arusu area in Maradana on Thursday (16) enjoyed a music show, put up by Army Beat Group musicians. It was staged with the objective of challenging boredom and providing mental relaxation to the public who are home-confined due to prevailing COVID-19 epidemic threat and curfew hours.
