Remains of Late UN Peacekeeper Laid to Rest

The military funeral of the UN Peacekeeper, Lance Corporal M.G.L Deshapriya of the 6 Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (6 SLASC) who died following a heart stroke while serving in the Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) took place at Viharupalugama, Anuradhapura on Saturday (25) amid a gathering of mourners.

Colonel Deepal Gamage, Commandant SLASC Training School, Senior Officers, Staff Officers and other mourners were also there to salute late Lance Corporal M.G.L Deshapriya. His remains were laid to rest in the family burial ground after military honours were presented.
