Private Company Gifts Best Quality Face Masks to Armed Forces

Representatives of Esquel Sri Lanka Limited, an exporter of Cotton, Yarn, Fabric, Shirts, Accessories, etc, appreciative of preventive tasks, being performed by armed forces against COVID-19 epidemic arrived at the Army Headquarters this morning (23) and awarded a stock of exclusively-manufactured cotton face masks to the Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of Covid-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army, General Shavendra Silva.

Ms Rasika Amarakoon, acting General Manager, Ms R.U.A Mendis, Mr N.S.D Kramaru and Mr M.R Junkeer representing the donor company, Esquel Sri Lanka Limited, symbolically presented a few packets of those face masks to General Shavendra Silva at his office in the Army Headquarters. The donors told that the Company which produces those high quality foreign market-oriented face masks was of the unanimous view that the armed forces at the forefront, who are so dedicated to the cause, should be provided with those best quality products on priority basis.

Accepting the gesture of goodwill and motivation, the recipient appreciated their thoughtfulness and the importance, attached to this national effort. He also acknowledged the gesture by presenting mementos to those representatives.
