Present Sri Lankan Contingent in Mali Recovers IEDs & Completes 21 Escorts of CCEO

Sri Lankan Combat Convoy Company (LKACCC) serving the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali (MINUSMA) has so far effectively performed 21 Combat Convoy Escort Operations (CCEO) by 15 March 2021 and recovered 15 Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) in the past few months.

All those operations to the best satisfaction of the Commanding Officers of the MINUSMA caused no harm to own troops, MINUSMA equipment or any of the civilians in the areas.

Most of the recovered IEDs were found along roadsides, believed to have been buried by tribal fighters in Mopti, Kidal and Tombouctou areas targeting VIPs and administrators in those provinces.

MINUSMA Force Commander and other high-profile military and civil administrators during past few months visited the LKACCC camp and commended the performances of Sri Lankan troops and their spirit-de-corps. best Running shoes brand | Men’s shoes
