VAVUNUYA: AN LTTE terrorist arrested by the Police Intelligence Unit while he was hiding inside a Relief village in VAVUNIYA led the Police to recover a stock of about 366 kg of C-4 explosives on Wednesday (5).
When questioning the terrorist, he has revealed that a stock of explosives and a detonator code had been kept buried in a forest area in KUMANKULAM, VAVUNIYA. The Police conducted a search later on and recovered the stock. Further questioning also led to the arrest of another terrorist from another location.
The terrorists arrested were identified as KANDAIYA VIJAYAKUMAR (35) and THAMBILINGAM SIVAKUMARAN (24). The Police are conducting further investigations, according to the Police spokesman.
