Police Hqrs Welcomes Commander of the Army

Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake, Commander of the Army in line with courtesy formalities called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr Pujith Jayasundara at the Police Headquarters on Wednesday (23) where he was accorded Police honours.

A Guard of Honour, presented by a representative group of Police Officers at the Police Headquarters premises saluted the visiting Commander of the Army who was making his first courtesy call on the IGP. The parade commander accompanied the visiting Army Chief for review of the parade before he took the salute.

At the IGP’s office, both Lieutenant General Senanayake and Mr. Pujith Jayasundara exchanged views on matters of mutual interest and current security challenges in general.

Towards the end of the cordial meet, they both exchanged mementos and the visiting Commander signed the visitors’ book at the IGP office.
