Pensioners Facilitated For the Second Day

For the second consecutive day (3), Army troops of all formations under island-wide Security Force HQs assisted the senior citizens of the country to collect their pension payments by taking them to banks on board Army buses on a directive given by Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.

The gesture was meant to help those aged pensioners who have turned helpless due to imposition of curfew hours in respective residential areas.

Thousands of senior citizens around the island were benefited through the project, which strictly adhered to health guidelines, issued for prevention of further spread of COVID-19 outbreak.

Troops in all seven Security Force HQs in Jaffna, Wanni, East, Kilinochchi, Mullaittivu, Central and West actively contributed to the programme under the supervision of respective SF Commanders.Authentic Nike Sneakers | New Balance 991 Footwear
