Panagoda Army Cantonment Cleaned up against Threat of Dengue Transmission

Troops serving the Security Force Headquarters-West in the face of the looming threat of Dengue in the Western Province organized a Dengue prevention campaign inside the Panagoda Army cantonment on Friday (22).

The campaign was successfully carried out with the participation of more than 200 soldiers who are serving the Army cantonment at Panagoda, together with two teams of the Field Assistant unit for Dengue prevention. The Panagoda Army cantonment compound was cleaned up with the assistance of the Divisional Public Health Inspectors.

On the directions of the Commander Security Forces -West, the campaign was successfully conducted in liaison with the MOH office, Homagama. Regional Director of health services Colombo Dr Dilip Liyanage, Supervising Public Health Inspector- Colombo Divisional Mr M L Perera, Brigadier Admin and Quartering Security Forces (West), Brig G D R U K Galhenage, senior Officers, and Officers of the Security Forces -West closely supervised the programme
