Oximeters Gifted to Commander Distributed

A stock of respiratory-related medical equipment, gifted to General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head, NOCPCO by the Sri Lankan Society in the United States of America, were shared among the most deserving hospitals in Ampara, Batticaloa and Polonnaruwa area under the supervision of the Commander Security Forces-East Major General Channa Weerasuriya.

The medical devices comprised of 10-litre Oxygen Concentrators were given to the Base Hospital Kalmunai, Teaching Hospital Batticaloa and the District Hospital Polonnaruwa for the benefit of COVID patients. The equipment were symbolically handed over to the health officials by the Commanders of the 231 and 241 Brigades.
