Outgoing Commander Pays Courtesy Call on HE the President

The outgoing Commander of the Army, General Mahesh Senanayake Tuesday (20) afternoon paid a courtesy call on HE the President Maithripala Sirisena at the Presidential Secretariat.

President Sirisena during the cordial discussions that ensued commended the excellent service of the outgoing Commander and wished him good luck with all his future endeavours. General Senanayake acknowledged the cooperation HE the President as the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces extended to him during his tenure of office.

Towards the end of the cordial meeting, the outgoing Commander presented a special souvenir to the President Sirisena.
