Regiment of Sri Lanka Artillery proudly celebrated its 131st Anniversary, coupled with a special farewell to the outgoing 18th Colonel Commandant of the Regimental of Sri Lanka Artillery, Major General Rukmal Dias at the Regimental Headquarters premises in Panagoda on Thursday (25).
Major General Rukmal Dias, Colonel Commandant was greeted in a Guard Turnout and a Regimental Parade, comprised of all units and School of Artillery, adorned with Regimental Colours.
The commencement of the ceremony was marked paying tribute to the memory of fallen War Heroes of the tribe by laying a floral wreath at the Regimental Monument. All units together with School of Artillery accorded the Regimental parade in honour of the senior Gunner Officer afterwards followed by tea and refreshments at Warrant Officers' & Sergeants’ Mess. Planting a sapling and joining an all rank lunch, he added memories to the occasion.
The day’s event culminated with a farewell dinner hosted in his honour later in the evening. best Running shoes | Nike Off-White
