Outgoing Central Commander Honoured During Farewell Visits

Central troops awarded military honours as formalities in order to bid farewell to the outgoing, Commander Security Forces -Central Major General Vikum Liyanage when he arrived at few Army camps under the SFHQ-Central during 3-4 October.

Major General Vikum Liyanage addressed 11 Division and 12 Division troops on Sunday(3) and thanked them for their contribution towards the success of his tenure as the Commander SF-C. At the end of the troops address, he joined all Ranks for tea at the venue, Similarly, 20 Sri Lanka Singha Regiment (SLSR) troops awarded Guard Turnout honours to the outgoing Commander when he arrived at the camp followed by Guard of Honour.

Few senior Officers including the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 11 Division, GOC 12 Division, Brigade Commanders, Commanding Officers and officers attended those farewell formalities.

Major General Vikum Liyanage will assume duties as the Commandant, Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force SLAVF) soon.
