One more awareness discussion on ‘Green Agriculture’ and coordination of supply of organic fertilizer, organized by the 64 Division of the Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu got underway on Friday (11) at the Divisional Secretariat in Oddusuddan as per guidelines given by the Green Agricultural Operation Center and instructions of Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu.
Major General G.D Sooriyabandara, General Officer Commanding of the 59 Division and Major General Upul Weerakoon, General Officer Commanding of 64 Division also joined the discussion, in which possibilities of implementing Organic Fertilizer Production process, Issue of organic fertilizer and uses of organic fertilizer for cultivations and paddy fields for the ‘Yala’ - Season were discussed.
District Agricultural Director of Mullaittivu, Mr. R. Kokuladasan, Agriculture Development Officer of the Agricultural Service Center in Oddusuddan, Mr. K. Sugandhan, Agricultural Instructor of the Agricultural Service Center in Oddusuddan, Mr. S. Baanujan and Divisional Director of the Kangara Holdings Fertilizer Institute, Mr. M. Sendulan were among participants.
Accordingly, 15 Senior Officers and a group of Army personnel took part in the discussion.
