The Passing Out Parade (POP) of 7th batch of the Special Forces’ (SF) Combat Divers took place on Saturday (25) at the SF Combat Diving Training School at Nayaru, Mullaittivu.
Additional Secretary (Defence) at Ministry of Defence Mr P.B.S.C Nonis attended the occasion as the Chief Guest.
2 Officers and 24 Other Ranks of the Special Forces, 8 Other Ranks of the Commando Regiment and 1 Officer and 2 Other Ranks of the Regimental Special Forces of the Sri Lanka Air Force received graduation on the occasion after successful completion of the Course.
During the POP, those graduates held an exhibition demonstration of diving skills in the Nayaru seas before the day’s gathering, inclusive of Major General Pradeep Silva, Director General General Staff (DGGS), Army HQ, Major General Harendra Ranasinghe, Director General Operations, Major General Senarath Yapa, General Office Commanding, 57 Division, Centre Commandant of the Special Forces Regiment, Brigade Commander, Special Forces Brigade, Senior Officers from the SFHQ-MLT and 59 Division.
