Old Boys at Colombo Royal College & J' Pura Old Graduates Provide Relief Packs to Kokilai Students

Security Force HQ-Mullaittivu troops on the guidelines given by Major General Jagath Rathnayake, Commander, Security Forces - Mullaittivu in coordination with the 59 Division HQ, commanded by Major General Manoj Lamahewa, General Officer Commanding, 59 Division organized the distribution of school stationery packs to 94 students in Kokilai Sinhala Vidyalaya, each pack worth about Rs 5000 and dry ration packs to temples in the area with sponsorship provided by Mr Prasad Lokubalasooriya, Old Boys’ Association (2002) of Colombo Royal College and Old Students’ Association of Sri Jayawardenapura University.

Those projects were launched under the supervision of Brigadier Wasantha Palamkumbura, Commander, 593 Brigade during 27-29 January at Kokilai Sinhala Vidyalaya in Mullaittivu. As the first step, troops of 19 Gemunu Watch and 5 (V) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment disinfected the school premises and thoroughly cleaned it to avoid any transmission of the COVID-19 epidemic with the opening of the schools.

On Friday (29), those 94 students were awarded those gift packs with school accessories and monks at Gurukanda Rajamaha Viharaya with dry rations to the value of some Rs 20,000. The GOC 59 Division as the Chief Guest, together with representatives of those donors gave away those relief packs to students and monks.

The same set of donors assisted the 64 Division HQ a few days ago in a similar manner for distribution of relief packs among civilians. Religious leaders, Deputy Regional Director of Education, Members of both Associations, Officers, Other Ranks and villagers were associated with the project. jordan Sneakers | Men's Sneakers
