In order to educate nearly 200 Officers, inclusive of lady Officers serving different Directorates at the Army HQ plus those Officers at island-wide Security Force HQs (SFHQs) through zoom technology, two informative lectures on 'Non Communicable Diseases' (NCDs) and 'War History' were conducted at the Army HQ on Wednesday (30) as a part of the ongoing training programmes.
Brigadier (Retired) Dr Mrs A.S.M Wijayawardena, Medical Consultant who earlier worked at the Colombo Army Hospital delivered the lecture on 'Non Communicable Diseases' while Lieutenant Colonel Sujith Chaminda spoke about the 'War History'.
In addition to the participants at the Army HQ, a total of about 700 Officers serving island-wide Security Force HQs and Regimental Centers virtually listened to both lectures.
