Northern Troops Join Special 'Pahan' Pooja at Kankesanthurai Tissa Raja Maha Viharaya to Invoke Blessings on Country

The Security Force HQ- Jaffna (SFHQ-J) with the objective of invoking blessings on the country, epidemic-affected people and the country at large organized a Special Pahan Pooja (lighting of earthern lamps) at Kankesanthurai Tissa Raja Maha Viharaya on Sunday (15) to coincide with the national lighting ceremony that took place at all four corners of the country.

Organized on a suggestion, made by Major General Senarath Bandara, Commander, Security Forces-Jaffna, the religious programme was administerd by venerable members of the Maha Sangha. The project was concurrently staged in the North, South, East, West and Central regional points on the same day.
