A delegation comprised of 17 faculty members of the National Defence College (NDC) of Nigeria, headed by Air Commodore Osichinaka Chedu UBADIKE, currently in Sri Lanka on a six-day familiarisation tour as part of their curriculum paid a courtesy call on Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army at the Army Headquarters on Tuesday (25).
The delegation on arrival at the Army Headquarters was received by Brigadier D.K.S.K Dolage USP psc, Director Training before they were accompanied to the office of the Commander of the Army.
Air Commodore Osichinaka Chedu UBADIKE, Head of the Delegation, Dr Chinedu Simplicius UDEH, senior most of the Directing Staff, Colonel Abiola Olanrewaju Salami, Deputy Defence Attaché and Colonel Saheed Olalekan SADIQ, the senior most student in the delegation during their cordial meeting with the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage, exchanged views on matters of military diplomacy, mutual interests, further expansion of bilateral training opportunities, and benefits for the both Armies.
Towards the end of the formal meeting, the visiting delegates exchanged mementos as tokens of goodwill and long-lasting memory with the Commander of the Army.
Prior to the meeting at the Commander’s office, a Sri Lankan panel also briefed the visitors on the Army’s Way Forward Strategy and different roles and tasks in a special presentation.
