The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force Headquarters (SLAVF - HQ) at Kosgama welcomed the newly-commissioned 95 Young Officers of the SLAVF Volunteer Intakes 61, 61 A and Lady Intake 18 when they called at the SLAVF for the first time on Tuesday (Jan 10) upon commissioning.
Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commandant, SLAVF, warmly welcomed the Young Officers, accompanied by Major General Thusitha Silva, Deputy Commandant of the SLAVF.
During the programme, budding officers were educated on basic procedures, core values, proud history and long-held traditions of the Volunteer Force, before the SLAVF Commandant presented tokens of appreciation to them extending warm greetings and best wishes to them for a great future.
