The Newly Appointed Security Forces -East Commander Assumes Office

Major General S.A. Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc assumed duties as the new Commander of the Security Forces - East on 25 April 2024 amidst military formalities at the Security Forces Headquarters - East.

The newly appointed Commander was warmly welcomed by the Senior Officers and then honoured in a Guard Turnout.

After a short while, the newly appointed Commander was invited to the parade ground to receive the salute in the Guard of Honour, accorded in his honour by the troops of Corps of Sri Lanka Engineers.

Then, symbolizing his acceptance of the new office amidst religious observances, Major General S.A. Kulatunge RWP RSP VSV USP psc, left his signature in an official document in the presence of Senior Officers. Additionally, the Senior Officer symbolically planted a sapling to mark the commencement of his tenure. Adding memories to the day, the Senior Officer was invited to pose for a few group photographs with the Headquarters staff.
