The Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni (SFHQ-W), with the motive of further expanding knowledge on Information Technology (IT) among troops serving Wanni areas, recently commenced an IT course for its troops at its newly-established computer laboratory at the SFHQ-W premises.
30 officers and other ranks began their two-week long course with the support, the SFHQ-W received from the IDM, the country’s first computer training institute that has produced thousands of IT professionals.
The inauguration of the course was attended by IDM senior officials and several other senior officers serving the SFHQ-W. Major General A.K.S Perera, Commander, SFHQ-W gave his blessings to the project after discussions he has had with the IDM and senior officers.
