New Stopover for Expatriates On their Way to QCs Opened at Ibbankatuwa

On a directive of General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff, Commander of the Army and Head, NOCPCO, Major General Nishantha Manage, General Officer Commanding, 53 Division HQ set up a transit (stopover) point for expatriates, being taken for quarantining aboard state buses along the Dambulla- Habarana main road near Ibbankatuwa.

This transit place for rest en route was opened on Wednesday (3) after it was erected at a short notice. Accordingly, those expatriates being transported for quarantining purposes would find sanitary facilities, refreshments and other items that can be bought by them on their way to specific Quarantine Centres.
