New SLAVF Probation Officers Welcomed Prior to Undertaking Office

The Sri Lanka Army Volunteer Force (SLAVF) HQ extended a warm welcome to the newly-passed out Probation Officers who completed the Direct Enlisted Professional Officer Cadet Course when they arrived at the SLAVF HQ to take up new duty roles in respective streams of professions on Thursday (14).

Major General Sujeewa Senarath Yapa, Commandant, SLAVF received those 15 Probation Officers and underlined the need for their sustained commitment, loyalty and integrity in the context of military code of ethics of professionalism during his brief address to them upon arrival at his office.

The basic training was given by the academic staff at the Sri Lanka Military Academy (SLMA) at Diyatalawa, the premier training establishment where thousands of Officers of high quality have been groomed for the Sri Lanka Army offering a military career of prestige and honour.

Further, the brief ceremony focused on educating the gathering on administrative concerns from the enlistment to the retirement including the career progression in the SLAVF.
