The opening of the newly-built shrine (Budu Geya) at the SFHQ-Wanni and placement of its Buddha statue took place on Wednesday (21) amid blessings of the Maha Sangha.
Major General Dhammika Jayasinghe, Commander, Security Forces - Wanni on the eve of his relinquishment attended the occasion and unveiled the new shrine and the statue after placing it inside the shrine amidst beating of traditional drums.
