The Commander, Security Forces-West and the Chairman of the Army Athletic Association, Major General Mahinda Mudalige gifted new sports shoes to the athletes who won Gold medals in the recent 56th Army Athletic Championship Tournament.
Sponsorship for the gesture was provided by the Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment Headquarters at Panagoda.
The tournament got underway during 26-28 at Sugathadasa National Stadium, Colombo.
