New Provost Marshal Undertakes Visits

The recently appointed Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Major General A.C.A de Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc recently undertook visits to the School of Military Police (SMP) and 2 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police camp at Giritale after he took over the new appointment.

The Provost Marshal was warmly welcomed by the Commandant, SMP, Colonel R.M.K.A.S Rajanayake after he was greeted with a drive pass Guard Turnout at the entrance. Later, the day’s Chief Guest addressed the troops and highlighted the importance of having multidimensional training, personal discipline of the soldiers and its impact on their personal life.

The Commandant towards the end of the programme presented a special memento to the Provost Marshal to remember his first formal visit to the School of Military Police after inauguration of his new office. The Provost Marshal during his stay inspected the camp compound and its and infrastructure facilities. He also gave some guidelines for further progressive improvements.

As the second leg of his visit to Giritale, he visited the 2 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) camp at Giritale where and he was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Major N.P.E.N Nerangama after he was awarded a Guard Turnout at the entrance.

He took time off to speak to a section of Officers and Other Ranks in the camp and wished them good luck with their duty commitments.
