Major General Clifford De Zoysa, of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, assumed office as the 14th Director, Directorate of Provost at the Army Headquarters during a simple ceremony on Monday (13).
He marked the assumption symbolically by placing his signature in an official document, amidst the chanting of ‘Seth Pirith’ by members of the Maha Sangha in the presence of several officers of the Directorate.
He succeeded Brigadier Lakshman Bamunusinghe who just retired. Major General Clifford De Zoysa was the Commander, Forward Maintenance Area - North at the Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna before this new appointment.
