The Army at the request of school authorities at Siriperakum Dharma Vidyalaya in Gonawala offered its expertise skills to school prefects in the field of leadership training and physical training during a special workshop, organized in the school premises on Sunday (12 February 2023).
Major N.M.G.K.C Netthikumara and a physical training instructor of the 8 Sri Lanka Light Infantry Regiment provided their assistance to conduct this workshop, based on leadership traits and development of physical fitness for the benefit of newly-appointed school prefects.
Those new 40 prefects in the morning participated in physical training schedule and afterwards attended a comprehensive lecture session on leadership techniques, mannerism, mess etiquettes, etc.
The Commander Security Forces - West and the General Officer Commanding, 14 Infantry Division extended their blessings for the project. It was closely supervised by the Commander 141 Infantry Brigade, officers and other ranks who also supported its conduct.
