New Poly Tunnel with Water Drip System Installed

The 1 Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps (SLAGSC) - run organic fertilizer producing farm at Diyatalawa expanded its operations further by erecting a poly tunnel for crop safety a few days ago in order to increase quality of the harvests and fertilizer production process.

Brigadier H.A.P.K Hewawasam, Colonel Commandant of the SLAGSC has proposed its construction considering its inevitable use for better crop cultivations.

Major R.M.D Rathnayake, Officer Commanding, 1 SLAGSC, Diyatalawa detachment and Major W.M.D.P Fonseka, Agriculture Officer in Diyatalawa, together with the Commanding Officer 1 SLAGSC Lieutenant Colonel C.S Demuni inaugurated the drip irrigation system inside the new poly tunnel at 1SLAGSC camp at Diyatalawa on Sunday (05).
