New Officer Mess of 621 Brigade Opened with All Facilities

The new Officer Mess in the 621 Brigade Headquarters of the 62 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Wanni (SFHQ-W), was ceremonially commissioned by the Commander, Security Forces - Wanni (SF-W) Major General Kumudu Perera during his recent visit to the 621 Brigade Headquarters.

On a suggestion made by Colonel Kalpa Sanjeewa, Brigade Commander, 621 Brigade, the single-storied Officer Mess was renovated to match with natural surroundings. The new mess consists of a dining hall, spacious lobby, TV room and a state-of-the-art kitchen in addition to a few rooms available for Officers.

A large gathering of Officers serving in Brigades and Units attended a get-together, the same noon and enjoyed a fellowship lunch.

After posing for a group photograph, Major General Kumudu Perera, Commander, SF-W signed the Visitors’ Book at the new Officers’ Mess and left memories.

The event was attended by Brigadier Sanjaya Wanigasinghe, General Officer Commanding (GOC), 62 Division, together with several Officers in the 62 Division.
