Brigadier Nalin Bandaranaike of Vjayabhahu Infantry Regiment (VIR) assumed duties as the Director of the Directorate of Sports at Panagoda on Monday (19).
The newly-appointed Director left his signature for an official document to symbolize the acceptance of the new office after brief religious observances.
The newly-appointed Director succeeds Brigadier Mohan Rathnayake who has now been appointed as the General Officer Commanding, 21 Division.
Staff Officers and Other Ranks of the Directorate were present at the location to extend best wishes to the new Director.
Brigadier Nalin Bandaranaike was the VIR Centre Commandant before this appointment.
