New Director of Sports Takes Office

Brigadier Mohan Rathnayake of Gajaba Regiment assumed duties as the Director of the Directorate of Sports at Panagoda on Thursday (5). The newly-appointed Director left his signature for an official document to symbolize the acceptance of the new office after brief religious observances.

The newly-appointed Director Brigadier Mohan Rathnayake succeeded Brigadier Lal Chandrasiri who has now been appointed as the Overall Security Coordinator at the Army Headquarters.

Staff Officers and Other Ranks of the Directorate were present at the location to extend best wishes to the new Director.
