New Director Movement Begins Work

Brigadier W.M.P.M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu of the Special Forces Regiment assumed duties as the new Director of the Directorate of Movement on Monday (11 Sept) during a simple ceremony at his Army HQ office.

He marked the assumption symbolically by placing his signature in an official document in the presence of several Officers of the Directorate.

He succeeds Brigadier K.L.S.S Liyanagama RWP RSP, who has now been appointed as the Deputy General Officer Commanding of the 53 Infantry Division.

Prior to this appointment Brigadier W.M.P.M Wijesooriya RWP RSP ndu served as the Brigadier General Staff of the Security Forces - Mullaittivu.
