New DA for High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi Meets Commander

The newly appointed Defence Advisor (DA) for the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Delhi, Captain Y. I De Silva RWP psc of Sri Lanka Navy paid a courtesy call on the Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu today (24 January) at the Army Headquarters, prior to his departure from the country.

Commander of the Army conveying his best wishes to the designated Senior Officer emphasised the significance of the appointment, highlighting the pivotal diplomatic role that he could play as a Defence Advisor for the best interests of the nation. As a token of goodwill and appreciation, the Commander of the Army presented a memento to the newly designated Defence Advisor at the conclusion of the cordial meeting.
